Cartago is a friendly neighbourhood gathering place nestled into the mature Edmonton neighbourhood of Forest Heights.

Cartago opened in August 2017 on the main floor of a new, four storey mixed-use building in Forest Heights. The self-styled beer hall with a German twist aims to be the neighbourhood hub for quality food, drink, and company.

Cartago engaged Situate in spring 2018 in their quest for an outdoor patio permit. Due to perceived parking issues in the surrounding neighbourhood, getting a permit for the patio proved to be challenging. Situate managed to make it happen—after considerable advocacy to Administration and outreach to local media, the patio permit was successfully issued and came into effect in August 2018.
